Chumash Day
Continuing a generations-long tradition of Powwows in California, City of Malibu is hosting Chumash Day where the Malibu’s original residents will gather at Malibu Bluffs Park to sing, dance, socialize, and heal. The public is invited to join the event, featuring a variety of Native American arts and crafts, Native American tribal ceremonies, dances, special guest performances, and Chumash history storytelling.

Heal the Bay Aquarium/ Santa Monica Pier
At the Heal the Bay Aquarium on Santa Monica Pier you can learn all about anadromous fish that spend most of their lives in the saltwater of oceans and estuaries, then swim up freshwater rivers and streams to lay their eggs or spawn.

Public Workshop
Join us for a public workshop on the Malibu Creek Ecosystem Restoration Project! Learn about the ecological transformation to restore Malibu Creek and help return steelhead to our watershed! This workshop is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the project, ask questions, and offer public comment.
