Butterfly Day is a non-profit, environmental festival held at the Mountain Mermaid in breathtaking Topanga Canyon. Explore the grounds of lush gardens, winding pathways, and the awe-inspiring vistas of the Santa Monica Mountains.  The day-long celebration promotes pollinator awareness and support efforts to plant certified pollinator habitats. Enjoy a live butterfly habitat, native plant sales, exhibits, live music, spoken-word performances, a Tongva land-blessing ceremony, beehives, reptiles and raptor exhibits, face-painting, arts and crafts, artisanal food and drink, and more. The Butterfly Day music festival will be headlined by Sonic Butterfly, a long-string harp created by Andrea Brook that literally turns the grounds into a musical instrument!
