We’ll be exploring water bugs at the STEAM Carnival taking place at CSUCI. Come see tiny aquatic creatures through bug viewers. Learn how both micro and macro invertebrates are a key member of our local waterways and the important role they play!
Over 50 different hands-on STEAM activities will be available for PK-8 students to experience at this event, for example, examining the effect of trajectory and air pressure on the range of a marshmallow shot using an air-powered marshmallow shooter, making your own hair gel or lip gloss, searching for artifacts in a mock archaeological dig, observing the dissection of an eye ball, and making slime.
The Steam Carnival is hosted by CSUCI’s School of Arts and Sciences (A&S) from 2 - 5 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in the Central Mall of the CSU Channel Islands campus. The STEAM Carnival is open to the public. There is no admission fee for the STEAM Carnival and parking is free.
Families can park for free in Lot A3 on the CSU Channel Islands campus (https://maps.csuci.edu/).
